We have no data to hand over. Wesh has no accounts and no publisher-run server. What is not collected cannot be disclosed, lost or seized.
What Samouraï Coop does not hold
- Your messages, public or private.
- Your contacts, your nickname, your keys.
- Your location, your phone number, your email address.
- The list of people who use Wesh, or any connection log.
- Any usage statistics, crash reports or advertising identifiers.
What Samouraï Coop cannot do
- Read a private message: it is end-to-end encrypted between you and your verified contact.
- Delete a message on other phones.
- Remove someone from the network.
- Recover your data after Erase all data.
What we may hold
- Emails you send us (support, reports, security) and whatever you choose to include. We keep them while we handle your request, then delete them.
- The source code and released versions of the app, which are public.
What others can see
- People in range: your nickname, a temporary identifier, your public keys and everything you write in the local room.
- Nostr relays (Internet mode only): an encrypted envelope, the recipient's public key, a date and a size. They are run by independent third parties and keep this data under their own rules.
- The Tor entry relay (Internet mode only): your IP address, but not which relays you reach or what you send.
- Apple and Google process download data under their own rules. We do not receive the list of people who install Wesh.
- GitHub hosts this site and may log visitors' IP addresses for the security of its service. We have no access to those logs. This site sets no cookies and loads no external resources.

For data from the app, our answer is always the same: we do not have it. Only correspondence sent to our email addresses could be concerned.
In line with the terms of use, we may pass clearly illegal content reported to us to the competent authorities, where the law provides.
- Address for official requests
- support@samourai.coop, or by post: Samouraï Coop, 149 avenue du Maine, 75014 Paris, France.
